This cache is getting a second life. It was originally placed approximately 3 miles from here, but the city decided that a new fire station was needed in that location. We couldn't find a suitable location near it's original hiding place, so relocation was necessary.
We took a scouting run down this new trail and thought we found a safe spot to be the new home of this cache. We returned to place the cache, we were locked on the location. The challenge was how to get there. I will tell you it took some effort. There are plenty of dangers in the area. First of all, you are in texas. You could encounter any number of critters, bugs or plants that may be, at the least, unpleasant. Please be aware of dangers in the area and hunt this cache at your own risk. If you decided to proceed, I can guarantee thorns and barbed wire will cross your path no matter what direction you choose to approach from. Please be aware of the weather, and follow all posted signs along the trail. It is possible for this area to flood during periods of heavy rainfall.
The cache contains a stamp, stamp pad and logbook, these are not swag and MUST stay with the cache. This cache is also tethered in place to help keep it from running away. The one requirement for logging a find, is to sign/stamp the log. Bring your own stamp/pen, be safe and enjoy. Happy hunting!
