A Small Step 4 Me, But A Giant LEAP 4 My Calendar is another event planned for the Sunshine Coast Geocaching Community. This event is to celebrate that pesky little date known as 29th February. Some of us cachers have never FOUND a cache on the 29th February, leaving a big fat zero on our calendar which is found amongst our statistics. This day comes with much delight to remedy that gliche. Some of us will be celebrating completion of of such calendar, while most of us will be happy just to get together.
Welcome to the second Sunshine Coast Geocaching Event, held in beautiful Mapleton. Each month we'll be hosting an event in various locations around the Sunshine Coast to breathe some new life into old caches, explore new areas, discuss all things geocaching and put the odd face to a name.
This is a morning event, so bring a plate of food for yourself and to share if you wish, while an event organiser will try to secure seating, this is in a public park so please be prepared to rough it on a camp chair if you have one or a picnic blanket, playground nearby for the geo-kids and public toilets are a very short stroll away.
Note-There is shops closely that cater for coffee and wotnot. So bring your smiles, stories and future geocaching plans and lets have another fun event and show off what the Sunshine Coast Geocaching community can do!
