Welcome to the 22nd On Top Of event, this time we come to Gragareth in Lancashire. Gragareth stands 628m/2060ft above sea level. It is calssified as a Simm, Hewitt, Nuttall, Current County/UA Top, Administrative County Top, Buxton & Lewis, Bridge
(Tu,Sim,Hew,N,CoU,CoA,BL,Bg). I found lots of conflicting reports about wether Green Hill or Gragareth was the county top but it appears after a survey in 2014 the top was transferred from Green Hill to Gragareth. The website hillbagging also states Gragareth as the County top.
"The Gragareth Fell trig point is on the Lancashire side of the county boundary that runs along the top of the fell. The trig point does not quite stand at the highest point of Gragareth. In April 2014 a surveying team measured a slightly higher point 100m east of the trig point which resulted in Gragareth replacing neighbouring Green Hill as the county top of Lancashire."
