Happy Pi Day! Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

captainmath: I love holding this event every year - it's definitely a highlight for me, both in geocaching and in personal life.

I'm so grateful to everyone for turning out and allowing us to hold this event in the most responsible way possible. Big props to sweetleaf1019 for their work in creating and hiding the new geocaches. And also thanks to Pirate_Staples for capturing the most epic Happy Pi Day group photo in the eleven-year history of this event.

Alas, it's now time to archive the event. Who knows when we'll all be able to attend another event together? I look forward to that day.

"We all use Math every day!"

Geocache Description:

14 March 2020, 14:00 - 14:30

Saturday, March 14, 2020
2:00pm - 2:30pm

This is the 11th consecutive year in this annual series of Pi Day events, the longest in the world!

For those who choose to come early, we are planning some new geocaches to be set up in a Pi Day theme for early arrivals to find together. Watch this page for announcements about where and when - but joining us early is not a required part of this event, and you're welcome to join us for this event whether you come for the pre-event fun or not.

Come and meet in the back room at the Perkins Family Restaurant at the posted coordinates in Westfall Plaza at 2:00pm for a meal and Pi(e). And of course, we'll be sure to get everyone together for another geeky event photo you could imagine. While not required, we invite you to come dressed in your geeky finest.

Please help us help you by posting your "Will Attend" and the number in your party as early as possible - at least a week in advance. We want to make the occasion special for everyone, and we also need to let the restaurant staff know how many to expect to fit into their back room and how many they need to plan for serving us. Thanks!
