Anyone who has found our other anniversary caches, would know that there was an 'M' theme with the first 3. After 3 years of other Letters, this one could well have been B, but we cheated a bit to return to M! WooHoo! ........ Australia Day 2020 and we are camping at Berri for the long weekend at a lovely spot called Martins Bend. A beautiful, relaxing spot and a large enough area for people to spread out and not be on top of each other. Lots of birdlife through the trees with a variety of calls. So peaceful just sitting and relaxing.....but we are geocachers, thats not what we do!! We Geocache! It's our Seventh Anniversary of Geocaching. We found our first cache 'Where is Oz Mega 2014 - Nuriootpa' on 26th January 2013. From then on....well, we were hooked. In our first year we found 643, In our second year we found 920. Our third year had us find 736, not a bad effort considering we didn't cache properly for about 6 months as we were renovating a house, in our fourth year we found 851. Our 5 year was a bit light on with only 461 found and our sixth year saw us do better with a find count of 685. Last year was a very busy year for us. With Geostuff we attended 3 Mega Events with a total of 5919Km travelled. Thankfully the St Arnaud mega was on our side of Victoria so not too far to travel for that one! We also managed a tally of 580 finds. At the begining of the year we went on a cruise to New Zealand so added a new country to our souvenir list and we met lifelong friends John & Lorraine (Dunmowin) along with more fantastic people who we are privileged to be able to call friends. More country has been discovered and more stunning locations have been seen.
The cache is a 400ml camoed sistema should be an easy enough find and has enough room for a few swaps and TB's. It contains a log, one of our pencils, and a few bits of swag. As this is not far from a fairly busy campground, please use stealth and replace the cache exactly as found.
