This cache is a bit of a tribute - building on the previous cache that was in this location. It lived here longer than I have even been in the Bay Area, but seems like it eventually became a bit of a target for muggles, to let's try another round of games.
- If you recall what and where, then this should be an easy game from the old geocache placement/given coords.
- If not, then it'll certainly help to begin at the fence/gate with the instructions in the archived Child's Play (GCR797)
-
The cache is at a very short passage way.
Simon says take three giant steps.
Simon says bend over.
Simon says retrieve,sign and replace.
Micro with log sheet and room for small trade items.
...and for the old schoolyard game:
"Red rover, red rover, send this daring cacher (YOU) right over!"
Congrats to the first daring cachers: not2b, Cool_easy_cache, & (generously) Cats4us & Cbear9;
and co-2TF (as I understand it, all onsite together(?)) to Peachezz408, chefcheck, & sofialeon!
It was reportedly "a pretty crowded alley"
Child's Play (GCR797) at this site was my introduction to geocaching in pretty much every way:
- My very first attempt to find a cache
- Thereby my first DNF
- My first DNF avenging experience
- First time introducing my kids to geocaching (I know, in hindsight, that was risky, but I'm sure I prepared them that it may not be there)
- It gets interesting though! As I wrote in the log, "finally found [a small] magnet only! A little bitter sweet, but also very rewarding to find something so tiny. Brought some treasures, and had the materials to recreate a canister. Enjoy!" So, it was my first time making a cache.
- Which heavily inspired my very first hide iteration of my Arcoiris (GC895ZQ)
Huge thank you to Rocket Girl for such thorough introduction to geocaching, tremendous fun, and inspiration for this cache! :-)
