Geocache Description:

24 September 2022, 11:30 - 13:30

As 2022 winds down, let's celebrate Geocaching's 20th Year one more time. I'm sure that by the time this event comes around, we will have had one heck of a geocaching summer - celebrating the activity we all love in one form or another! Come share that passion with other like-minded individuals - your adventures, your triumphs, your travel bugs! :D Let's just get together!

Slowest Ever Flash Mob!

Congrats to tagalongATM on her FTL - First To Log!

Stuff to know:

  • What? An outdoor geocaching community celebration right here in Marysville, and extra slooow flash mob. That part is pending . . . we'll see.
  • Who? You, of course! Geocacher or muggle - everybody is welcome. If you're new, we'll try to be gentle.laugh
  • Where? Jennings Park in Marysville, WA. We'll be in the Lions Centennial Pavilion, short walks down the hill from two possible parking areas.
  • When? Saturday, September 24, 2022; 11:30am -- 1:30pm (or later?), rain or shine. There is a covered area.
  • Why? Well why the heck not?

Other Stuff Under Consideration:

  • A slow-motion flash mob is certainly under consideration, ala PodCacher - it'll probably take at least two hours. Will have to schedule a group photo, maybe consider a snack and other slightly goofy things we've done at events.
  • Speaking of snacks - how about a finger-food potluck? I'm thinking of stuff like chips, veges, and the like. There are picnic tables.
  • Raffles - Yup, I usually do one, and I think this event will be no exception. One ticket per person, must be present to win. Got anything to donate?
  • Nothing is set in stone. What ideas do you have? I'd love to hear them.

Although this is an outdoor event, we ask that if you
are not feeling well or are ill, please do not come.
Use of Marysville Parks, Culture, and Recreation (MPCR) facilities
could increase the risk of you or your child contracting COVID-19.
