The Greek letter 𝝅 (pi) is the symbol used to define the circumference of ANY circle divided by its diameter. In other words, no matter how large or small you draw a circle, the outside measurement will ALWAYS be a little more than 3 times the size of its measurement from side to side.
Because pi equals 3.14159 (plus a lot more digits), Pi Day celebrations are becoming more and more common on 3.14 at exactly 1:59pm. And what better way to celebrate Pi Day than with pi(e)!!!
The posted coordinates will bring you to the beach entrance of COFFEE SLUT, a very popular local coffee shop. While its name and menu items sound dirty, their coffee drinks, teas, and juices are amazing, and online reviews call ground zero the coolest coffee shop on the island. If you haven’t been there before it’s located next to tuRe’ Café at the East Hagåtña Shell traffic light.
Most muggles will order and leave or spill into the middle sitting room. We have a large table reserved in the back “art room” just for us to meet and greet. The art room is filled with inspirational works from local artists whose drawings and paintings will grab your imagination!
A variety of pi(e)s will be available for everyone to slice into and share. I’ll ensure there’s plenty of pi(e) for all attendees. If anyone would like to bring a specific kind of pi(e) along to share, you are more than welcome. However, there is definitely no obligation or requirement for that. If so, just leave a note in your “will attend” log and I will adjust accordingly. COFFEE SLUT is providing plates and utensils.
Electric outlets and free wifi are available!!! Feel free to bring your laptops or devices.
There are Chess sets in both rooms to challenge your skill and I'll have a new game that should bring some laughs!
And speaking of cirlces... feel free to bring along any geocoins and TB's for discovery or to be moved along!!!
On the way in & out enjoy beachfront views of the bay from Paseo to Oka Point.
