Ross Carnrite retired as the lighthouse keeper in 1935.  He was the last keeper, no one was hired after him.  Why?

A.  The ghost Ross Carnrite claims to have seen, took over as keeper.    N 44 01.435  W 077 40.482

B.  Newer vessels came equipped with better navigation tools, so they could steer away from the rocky areas.     N 44 01.436  W 077 40.469

C.  With technical upgrades and the lighthouse being wired with electricity, a full time keeper was not needed.     N 44 01.435  W 077 40.479

D.  The area became off limits to boats.     N 44 01.433  W 077 40.503
