Grotta Marozza è una località della campagna romana, nel comune di Monterotondo, in cui sorge un antico fortilizio feudale, detto "il castellaccio", abbandonato verso la fine del XIV secolo.

Inoltre a fine 2009 lo Speleo Club Roma ha intrapreso una campagna di studi speleologici, sono stati esplorati diversi buchi e in quello più grande sono state trovate tracce di ocra (o pittura rossa) e una mandibola umana.

La campagna circostante è meta di scampagnate e di sportivi in cui vanno a correre o in bici, quindi è consigliata anche hai giovani, un po' meno raggiungere i ruderi perchè la breve salita si svolge comunque tramite un poco visibile sentiero tra la fitta vegetazione.
Raggiunto il WP di parcheggio, di fronte ad un ricovero di balle di fieno, entrare nel campo antistante e segui la traccia a sinistra superando delle colonne, ruderi di una vecchia costruzione, fino a raggiungere il WP dove inizia la salita, a sinistra della paretina rocciosa, sotto gli alberi. A metà della strada, sulla destra e in alto, potrete scorgere i resti del muro di cinta, sotto in un ampio anfiteatro roccioso, si apre la grotta più grande, visitabile e breve, ma comunque con attenzione, proseguendo invece si raggiunge un altopiano erboso dove si staglia il fortino.
Consigli per la cache: a causa della vegetazione il gps non è affidabile, quindi giunti a degli archi alle spalle del rudere comincia a cercare, è mimetica, inoltre una volta trovata per ottenere il logbook: apri-tira-molla e attenzione a non perderlo.

The surrounding countryside is a destination for outings and sportsmen who go for a run or bike, so it is also recommended for young people, a little less to reach the ruins because the short climb takes place however through a little visible path through the dense vegetation.
Reached the parking WP, in front of a hay bale shelter, enter the field in front and follow the track on the left passing some columns, ruins of an old building, until you reach the WP where the climb begins, to the left of the wall rocky, under the trees. In the middle of the road, on the right and at the top, you can see the remains of the surrounding wall, below in a large rocky amphitheater, the largest cave opens, which can be visited and short, but still carefully, continuing instead you reach a grassy plateau where the fort stands out.
Cache tips: due to the vegetation the gps is not reliable, so when you get to the arches behind the ruin it begins to look, it is camouflage, also once found to get the logbook: open-pull-spring and be careful not to lose it .
