(Note: Cachers are not required to play along and place a cache if they choose not to do so.)
We found a ‘Pay it Forward’ (PIF) cache years back, but were new to the game and didn’t read the concept well enough to understand what to do. No worries though, as we’ve placed hundreds of caches for folks to enjoy finding since that time. And with the ‘Middle to Locust FTF Power Trail’ series winding down, but not done yet, we thought we’d place that ‘Pay It Forward’ cache!
The ‘Pay It Forward’ concept (by GerbilMafia) is as follows: If YOU find and log THIS cache (EVERYONE... not just as the FTF), then in return YOU should place a "Pay it Forward" cache of your own. Easy huh?😊 Then when everybody finds YOUR cache, they do the same, and so on, and so on. Maybe you can bring a stocked cache container with you and place it on your way home after finding this one, or maybe you already know of a good location. Either way, this series has the potential to grow very fast. Once you place your cache, simply name it "Pay it Forward" with your cacher name attached, example----Pay it Forward/CacherJohnDoe. I would love to see this series reach the far corners of the earth while giving back to the Geocaching community at the same time. Feel free to cut and paste this description if you decide to participate by placing YOUR OWN PIF cache.
(Note: You DO NOT have to place a cache if you don't want to, but it would certainly be appreciated by the caching community, and hiding just one PIF cache per person will be enough to make this series happen... and in turn, generate more caches for YOU to find.) AND... there is nothing saying cachers couldn’t continue to place PIF(s) every time they find a PIF cache!😎 Just continue the ‘pyramid’ progression (Ha Ha!) by adding a number following your name (ex: Pay It Forward/CacherJohnDoe2, Pay It Forward/CacherJohnDoe3, etc.) If you DO find a PIF cache and subsequently DO NOT place a PIF cache, other cachers may point the accusing finger your way, shake their heads in distain, and whisper every time they see you!😳 (Ha Ha! LOL! ‘Just sayin’ , ‘kidding!’ ...or maybe not!😉)
