Please join me and my awesome co-hosts at the 6th annual matinee version of the Geocaching International Film Festival. Enjoy a viewing of the geocaching film finalists that were chosen for their creativity, production quality, and contribution to the global geocaching community. After signing the logbook and grabbing some popcorn, we will watch the films and take a group photo. We will have ballots for an informal, fun voting on the films and a raffle as well.

What is a GIFF 2021?
GIFF 2021 is your chance to watch the entire reel of the finalist films from the 2021 Geocaching International Film Festival. Throughout the dates of November 11-21, geocachers will host geocaching events at which these films will be shown publicly for the first time.
Is this event following Covid safety rules?
Because this is an indoor event, masks are required at this event, whether you are vaccinated or not. There might be children in attendance or others who are not vaccinated and we want to be safe. Also, there will be certain rows that are taped off. Please respect the tape and do not sit in those rows. Families who want to group together are fine, but otherwise, please be respectful and keep a good social distance.

The easiest route is to take Gables Rd. south from Roosevelt Rd. until you come to a dead end. Turn left and you will see the church. There is plenty of parking and the entrance is on the west side of the building. There is a circle turnaround on the north side of the building for the north side handicap entrance.
When is it?
Saturday, November 20, 2021
2:00-4:00 p.m.
The event will start at 2PM. The films will play from 2:30PM to 3:30PM. We will vote on our favorite film and take a group picture and then hold the raffle and clean up.
How long is the GIFF 2021 film reel?
The entire film reel is approximately one hour long.
Are these films family-friendly?
Absolutely. Kids are welcome.
Are there geocaches to find nearby?
Yes! pawprintlogic1 and badcla and others have placed a lot of great caches in the area and on the Prairie Path behind the church that are well maintained and a pleasant walk.Â
Will I earn a souvenir for attending a GIFF Event?
Groundspeak announced that a souvenir will be available for anyone who attends a GIFF event on GIFF Weekend. But also, this year, the GIFF souvenir can also be earned by discovering a special trackable code in the GIFF reel. And because this is a Community Celebration Event, you will also get that souvenir!
