End of 2022 - Community Celebration Event Community Celebration Event

GO_PUB: I think everyone has now had a chance to log their attendance...

Thank you to everyone for joining our New Year's Eve party. It really was a pleasure to see so many smiles and happy faces, from friends old and friends new, and from friends a far who'd made a special effort to attend.

The 25 logged attendees is probably more likely 40 people from the head count. I'm sorry the weather was bad.... but at least the conversation was warm.

Perhaps we'll do it again when Groundspeak goes for a 25-year celebration... who knows..

Until the next one, Happy New year.

Geocache Description:

31 December 2022, 12:00 - 14:00

End of Year Community Celebration Event

DATE: NEW YEAR'S EVE

TIME: 12:00 - 14:00

VENUE: The Hatchet, Market Place, Newbury, RG14 5BD.

As the year draws to an end so does the series of Community Celebration Events. This is an opportunity for a lunchtime get-together between Christmas and New Year, and perhaps to do a bit of sales shopping too. Some tables will be reserved somewhere inside (details will be posted out near the time). A Weatherspoons menu is availale for eaters.

There are numerous car parks around Newbury - the ones around the town centre are typically £3.90 for 3 hours; the old football club is £2 for 4 hours, the leisure centre (next to WON#3) is free for 3 hours. The railway station is 5 minutes walk and the bus station is even closer.
