Geocache Description:

23 January 2021, 09:00 - 11:00

2020 the bitter end. Snow is not a problem, but ice is going to delay this hike. Planning to reschedule to 01/23/2020, 9am.

Let's start a better year with a fun little socially distanced hike. The posted coordinates are the parking lot at the trailhead. We will be hiking counter-clockwise around the paved trail and near the halfway point, we will take a detour off the paved trail and on to the dirt trail. From there, we will hike along the ridge above the Missouri river and enjoy the views. This trail reconnects with the paved trail after a short time and from there, we will hike back to the parking lot. Estimated hiking distance is about four miles. There are numerous hills on this trail. Bring a water bottle and snacks of your choice. There are caches in the park, but they will not be a destination on this hike. Please feel free to make a day of it and attempt the caches after the hike.

We will start hiking at 9:00 am on New Year's Day. Attendance of the event will require completing the hike.
