This Cache is dedicated to a loyal friend, Frank.
Frank was a joyful springer spaniel full of energy who loved to roam these hills. This location (particularly the pond) was his favourite place to visit, play, get muddy & wet.
Frank would roam around these hills with his 2 brothers like a pack of (friendly) wolves protecting their hunting territory. Frank passed away in 2018 aged 12.
Information about this location: The enclosure you see next to you was an experiment by the Fingal County Council ('Fingal' or 'Fionn Gaill' means "blond forigners" in Irish, refering to this area being viking territory. The experiment was to see if the release of mountain goats on this terrain could keep the foliage under control. Thank you for visiting this cache!
