Vesterelva er et av Glommas to elveløp gjennom Fredrikstad kommune i Østfold fylke, som munner ut i Oslofjorden.
I Glommas nedre løp deles elven ved øyene Isegran og Kråkerøy, hvorav hovedløpet går langs østsiden av Kråkerøy, se Østerelva.
Sideløpet går nordenfor og deretter langs vestsiden av Kråkerøy, kalt Vesterelva. Sommeren 2014 ble det observert delfiner i Vesterelva.

The Vesterelva is one of Glomma's two river runs through Fredrikstad municipality in Østfold county, which ends into the Oslo Fjord.
In Glomma's lower course, the river is divided by the islands of Isegran and Kråkerøy, of which the main course runs along the eastern side of Kråkerøy, see the Østerelva.
The other course runs north and then along the west side of Kråkerøy, called the Vesterelva.
In the summer of 2014, dolphins were observed in the Vesterelva.
