We have now been actively Geocaching over ten years and we’ve found a lot of caches in the local area, and put out quite a few of our own. We have loved reading the comments of other cachers when they logged our caches. We almost feel as if we know them, and yet with a couple of exceptions we have never met any of those who’s names we know so well, and who keep cropping up on our cache logs.
So it’s time to change all that – “let’s host an event cache” we said. So -

Gateway to a Cuppa
The venue is the Droitwich Canal Gateway Park (see https://www.wychavon.gov.uk/park-and-open-spaces/parks-in-droitwich/gateway-park-droitwich) . This is a parking place and picnic spot on the fairly recently restored and re-opened Droitwich Junction Canal. There is parking for 20 or more cars (parking charges apply – currently £2 all day). There are picnic tables and access to the Droitwich Canal.
Please come along and say hello, have a cuppa with us and meet Nora (our trusty Campervan / cache walks HQ). We will be there from 10am – 2pm with the kettle on and a warm welcome. We are both ‘old school’ and like our tea and coffee properly caffeinated – if you don’t, please feel free to bring your own decaf 😊 Please bring your own cup or mug.
We are planning to set out a new cache series, to be published that morning, to coincide with the event. Doing the series is of course not a mandatory part of the event, but you may wish to combine the two. If so, we hope that you will enjoy the walk, which will be along some canal towpaths and footpaths, starting and finishing at the Gateway Park. Pop over and say hello before or after the walk - or both!
Bring along TBs to dip or swap, and share a few stories about our wonderful hobby. We look forward to putting a few faces to names, and hope you will come and join us for this our very first event cache.
