Geocache Description:

Beware the Hides of March

In ancient Roman times, the Ides of March were linked to the belief that this was when your debts have come due, so settle up those debts people...lol

Julius Caesar, who was granted the title Dictator Perpetuus or “dictator for life.”  some were growing increasingly concerned with Caesar’s increasing power and monarchical leanings, so a group of Roman senators stabbed the ruler to death on March 15, 44 B.C.—forever linking the ides of March with the assassination of Julius Caesar.

Now this hide has no links to anything like that, so there's no need to be looking over your shoulder while finding this one....or is there???

Curious about the story of the Julius Ceasar and the Ides of march? Hit the pic below to find out!

Cache is placed along the bank of North Pond and the end of a small side trail.  A beautiful view of the pond from here.  Maybe even a nice place for a campfire in the summer time?

Cache is a 400ml container placed in a winter friendly manner.
