This cache is placed in honor of Genius Loci, local and national geocaching legend, who is moving East to be with family. Please feel free to Find the cache and post your Genius Loci stories or to just Write a Note to share them! We hoped to have an event on March 24, 2020 but Covid-19 has forced us to cancel that plan. A Charter Member of Geocaching since 5/24/2002, he has logged over 24,000 caches and found thousands more he has yet to log! His caches are renowned for accuracy, creativity and ingenuity and he is cited in the book The History of Geocaching as the co-creator of the first geocaching power run series where one could find 100 caches in a day! This cache is hidden in a sweet little fishing hole called Foley’s Pond in Highland Park. Please use the clearly marked street access on McDaniel street (coordinates are provided) just south of Bob-o-link Road. From the observation deck one often can see huge snapping turtles, fish and water fowl..... enjoy your visit! Please note, the park hours are Dawn to Dusk. There are many houses surrounding the park please refrain from looking after dark.
