There are lots of oddball number sequences. One of them starts:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 1 0 1 1 1 3 1 4 1 5 1 6
It is made by counting and adding the number you have reached to the end of the list of digits - unless the number is already in the list, when you don't bother. (Look at "12" in the list given above"!)
