Geocache Description:

A roadside lookout on Gelantipy Rd, Murrindal.

There is also a memorial here to Mrs Elizabeth Whelan. Perhaps Buchan’s most famous mid-wife was Mrs Whelan who originally lived at The Pyramids at Murrindal. (below the lookout)

The Pyramids is a very special property nestled in a remote area surrounded by state forest, with the Murrindal River acting as one of our boundaries. The natural phenomenon across the river, known as "The Pyramids", was named due to huge rocks that jut out from the hill, being shaped similarly to the Egyptian Pyramids.

We stopped here to check on a cache that I hid in Sep 2018, but never published. All was well so here it is at last.

As with all roadside caches, please take care and keep a close eye on any children.
