Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates.  Although all caches appear to be hidden in the Great South Bay, they are not at these posted coordinates - no swimming is required to obtain any cache in this series .

Welcome to the Geocachers of Long Island (GoLI) Geo-Art series.

The Geo-Art is modeled after the Montauk Point Lighthouse.  It's the oldest lighthouse in New York State, authorized by the Second Congress, under President George Washington, in 1792. Construction began on June 7, 1796, and was completed on November 5, 1796. It is designated as a National Historic Landmark and still serves as an aid to navigation. And it's pictured on the GoLI logo.

This series is chock full of Long Island trivia, interesting facts, places, people and heritage. The questions are all multiple choice. If you're not sure of the answer, an internet search should make it easy. You can use the solution checker at the bottom of the page to confirm your answer. If you get it wrong, just try again. The hides are all very easy too, though are all hidden in residential neighborhoods. Please be stealthy, and if asked, explain honestly what you're doing. Once you find all 30, your Geo-Art reward will be completed. The caches are numbered in this series, the order that you find them is not important. Upon completion of this series, you will earn a GoLI Geo-Art mini coin AND earn the GoLI Geo-Art souvenir to post on your profile! The link to the GoLI Geo-Art souvenir is on the cache page of Geo-Art cache page #30.

Question #23:  The motion picture industry in the NY Metro area very often uses Long Island for shooting locations.  TV shows & mini series like The Loudest Voice, The Tick and The Good Cop are just a few of the many shows that shoot here.  But movies also have scenes shot here. Which airport appeared in the movie John Wick?

Republic Airport - N 40° 39.547' W 73° 25.719'

MacArthur Airport - N 40° 39.457' W 73° 25.179'

Gabreski Airport - N 40° 39.745' W 73° 25.971'
