Geocache Description:

I had been thinking about placing a cache here since I moved to the area June 2019.  One year ago on April 4th 2019 me and zoraima got engaged.  The name for the cache comes from the historic sign posted at the rest area.  Should be a fairly easy but the area is a little wet in areas.  Regular tupperware container.  Have fun caching!

As this was hidden during the stage of the Covid-19 pandemic that provented it from being published within a few days of hidding it.  When you submit for review during the restriction the reviewer posts a note that reads:

"Hi, I am a volunteer cache reviewer covering New York State for Geocaching HQ . I'll be reviewing your new cache to ensure it follows the guidelines or help you bring it into compliance with the guidelines so that it may be published on the website. The guidelines may be found at http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx

This is a very difficult and unsettling time we live in. The uncertainty of COVID-19 is utmost on everyone's mind.

To us it may be but to the rest of the world geocaching is not an essential activity. The publication of new caches will certainly incite people to make the journey for FTF. This could easily create an unplanned gathering at the cache or trailhead.

Based on the president, the governor and CDC (Center for Disease Control) directives pertaining to COVID-19 and social distancing we are no currently publishing geocaches in New York. When restrictions have been lifted, the New York reviewers will re-evaluate with input from Geocaching HQ and the world wide reviewer community if it is advisable to publish new listings.

I have given your cache a quick preliminary look and at first look it looks good. However I can not publish caches in New York at this time. I am temporarily disabling your cache to clear it from the review queue. When you see caches start to publish in New York please resubmit and I'll finish the review and hopefully publish your new cache.

New York Admin Volunteer geocache reviewer"

To say the least we are living in interesting times.
