Geocache Description:

Hunting is permitted in the Rowley Fen. Dress accordingly for the season.

To find this cache, you will go to an area of Buchanan County that you may not have visited in a while. Hike-n-Seek X brought many people to the county. Many of the caches placed for 2013 event remain active. You should seek those caches while you are in the area for this cache.

This cache is placed to honor the Executive Director of the Buchanan County Conservation, Dan Cohen.

After I placed this cache, I returned to the Rowley Fen parking area and found Dan Cohen, Executive Director, Buchanan County Conservation. We visited for a bit. He shared some of the neat things occurring with the conservation property of the county. I mentioned that I had been out placing geocaches. He was excited to hear that caches were placed in the Rowley Fen to draw people to see this land.

If you enjoyed this area, send Dan Cohen a "thank you" for being supportive of geocaching. His email address is dcohen@co.buchanan.ia.us. Mention what parks you visited, where you are from, and even what restaurants you visited while in the area. It will make his day to know who is coming to Buchanan County to find geocaches.
