Whitehall State Park's primary feature is Whitehall Reservoir. This multi-stage cache encourages exploration of the park's main feature by kayak, canoe or motorboat. The stages of this three-part cache are on different islands. The landing points on each island are not necessarily near the cache but are easily accessed. The is no need to harm vegetation or bushwack. You may need to circle around each island a bit to find a good spot to land, but doing so is just another opportunity to explore.
In late spring, summer and early fall, be on the lookout for bald eagles, blue herron, red-wing black birds, swans, the occasional loon and other birds. Explorers around dusk may be fortunate enough to see some of the resident beavers, which live in the marshy area just south of the island with Stage 1.
