This is one of our favorite hikes because it is not well known but amazingly beautiful. Most people park along Clement Cres. At the corner of Peachland elementary school you will see a big wooden sign that marks the beginning of the trail that follows along the chainlink fence beside the school. At the end of the chain link fence, left going up the hill takes you to Trepannier Park, but going right takes you to the bridge to cross the river and then left to start your ascent up mountain. There is one small section of the trail that is loose dirt on a steep slope but all other areas are regular trails.
This cache was made by my 8 and 11 years old and hid in their favorite location along this trail. Old burnt trees from the fire a couple of years ago surrounded by new growth and the beauty of the river. Our family is huge into rock hounding so you are taking a cool rock from the container...look around and find another one. This area is rich in all sorts of cool agates and minerals.
