We had yet another stunning sunny day and explored yet another side track in the hills above the Clyde. The lockdown has also its positive sides, especially for those who are lucky enough to live so close to the countryside. Our daily walks take us either to the hills which start at the top end of our street, or to the shore which we can reach within 5-10 walking minutes.
We have been collecting a stone or two each time we've been to the shore, thinking that once the pandemic is over and some sort of normality resumes, we should have enough stones in our back garden to build a cairn (or a fire pit). With the cairn came the idea of calling it the Covid Cairn, and soon after the idea of placing a cache with such name.
Our next task was to find a suitable spot in the hills to build a cairn - not an official one of course (and made with local stones from along the path). Therefore - when you reach GZ - you may move stones to uncover the cache. Feel free to add a stone or two. Please make sure to cover the cache container problerly again.
We placed this cache on the 19th of April 2020 as part of our daily local walk during lockdown. Checked it on 2nd June and added a couple of stones.
