The Allegheny Land Trust Irwin Run Parcel is out of the way and abuts North Park. Very quiet and secluded. But, remember, Old Irwin Road (aka Blue Mist Road) is right there.
The stream might not really be called Little Irwin Run, but I was strapped for a name for the cache.
The Wilson Trail can be used to get close to the cache, but it’s a relatively tough, 500-600 foot, overland hike after that.
The closest access is at the Jackson Road trailhead. For a long walk (3 mile round trip), park near the Irwin Road – Babcock Boulevard Intersection. One can also start in North Park at the Wyoming Shelter lot on North Ridge and take the Red Trail down to the Irwin Run parcel (2 mile round trip, but with a 200-foot climb).
And another round for papazulu for the FTF.
