This geocache is dedicated to my sister and fellow geocacher, birchmoon, who passed away in 2019. She was an active geocacher and letterboxer throughout the state of New Mexico and southern Colorado. After introducing these hobbies to her family, it became a family activity on weekends and during holidays. She was influential in the letterboxing and geocaching community in New Mexico, where she attended events and was known for her smile and positive attitude. Her favorite hobby was birdwatching, where she was active in photographing birds in nature.
She passed away unexpectedly from leukemia on September 7, 2019 at age 35. She will be dearly missed by her family and the community in New Mexico.
She always enjoyed walking on these trails. With the amazing views from here, I thought this would be a good place to place a cache in her memory.
