This cache is in Wildlife Woods, one of the Hudson City Parks (even though it is located about 2.5 miles west of Hudson). This park is essentially surrounded by the Cuyahoga National Park. Parking is located off of Boston Mills Road. Dogs on leash OK. Daylight hours only. Bug repellant is recommended.
The trail begins with a STEEP climb at the east end of the lot. You can complete a “loop” of the park by continuing along the trail, following the Buckeye Trail (along west side of park) to Boston Mills Road (south of the bridge over the turnpike) and walk back along Boston Mills Road to the parking lot. Watch out for traffic though! Total hike is about one mile.
You may want to stop, rest and "Catch Your Breath" along the trail near the cache location after the steep climb. After almost 14 years, the prior cache in this area (an ammo can) was muggled. This is a replacement not far away and is a medium size Lock N Lock container.
Work is currently in progress on Boston Mills Road. You may have to approach the park from the west.
