Casa de lut a lui tanti Iulica
E greu să mai găseşti în România case vechi, păstrate ca pe vremea străbunilor noştri, în alt loc decât în muzee. Şi totuşi, în judeţul Sălaj există o astfel de căsuţă din lemn şi lut, veche de 150 de ani. Este singura casă tradiţională cu acoperiş de paie locuită din Sălaj, În anul 2017 casa a fost declarată monument istoric, iar tanti Iulica, femeia care locuieşte în ea, n-ar schimba-o pentru niciun palat.
Deşi casa a fost inclusă pe lista monumentelor istorice, zilele se scurg la fel pentru Iuliana Câmpean, cunoscută ca tanti Iulica. Femeia în vârstă de peste 95 de ani nu are electricitate şi se încălzește cu o sobiță cu lemne. Are o pensie mică. Şi câteva găini prin curte. Dar e mulțumită cu traiul ei modest.
Casa a fost ridicată de bunicii femeii. Nimeni nu ştie exact când, dar, cu siguranţă, e mai veche de 150 de ani. De-a lungul vremii, a rămas la fel. Numai acoperişul a fost înlocuit, cu unul asemănător cu cel vechi, tot din paie.
Trecătorii sunt fermecaţi de această casă, iar tanti Iulica se lasă fotografiată. Câteodată, oamenii îi şi trimit pozele, pe care ea le păstrează într-o cutie, alături de cele vechi, de familie.
Pe lista monumentelor istorice, locuinţa apare sub numele de „Casa Morarului", după ce într-o monografie a satului Răstoci s-a găsit o fotografie veche cu această casă, sub care erau scrise aceste cuvinte. Morăritul era o ocupaţie foarte întâlnită în zonă, în sat existând mai multe mori de apă legate de cursul râului Someş care trece prin localitate.
“Această casă este construită pe un teren în pantă, pe o temelie din piatră, cu liant de pământ. Panta terenului a favorizat construirea unei pivniţe sub încăperea de locuit, spre drum, cu acces din exterior, element mai puţin întâlnit în zonă, care dă o anumită monumentalitate construcţiei. Sub aspect planimetric, casa corespunde primei faze de evoluţie a locuinţei tradiţionale locale, având doar o încăpere de locuit, tindă şi prispă fără stâlpi, pe latura estică şi sudică. Cele trei ferestre ale încăperii de locuit, amplasate pe laturile ei de est, sud şi vest, au fost mărite, conform tradiţiei familiale, pe la anul 1900, de către bunicii ultimei proprietare, Câmpean Iuliana, născută în anul 1925. Pereţii sunt realizaţi din bârne de lemn, rotunde, prinse în cheutori şi sunt acoperiţi cu lipitură de pământ şi pleavă, în interior şi exterior” arată etnograful Augustin Goia, în studiul istoric realizat petntru clasarea imobilului ca monument istoric. Specialistul arată că imobilul se remarcă şi prin elementele de interior vechi şi extrem de rare nu numai în zonă, ci şi în nord-vestul Transilvaniei, precum cuptorul cu horn.
În apropierea casei de lut se află un alt monument istoric, biserica de lemn din Răstoci, unică în zonă.
Aunt Iulica's clay house
It's difficult to find old houses in Romania, preserved as in the time of our ancestors, in other places than museums. And yet, in Sălaj County there is such a house made of wood and clay, 150 years old. It's the only traditional house with a thatched roof still inhabited in Sălaj. In 2017 the house was declared a historical monument, and Aunt Iulica, the woman who lives here, wouldn't change it for any palace.
Although the house was included in the list of historical monuments, the days go by the same for Iuliana Câmpean, known as Aunt Iulica. The woman is over 95 years old, has no electricity and heats herself with a wood stove. She has a small pension. And a few chickens in the yard. But she is content with her modest living.
The house was built by the woman's grandparents. No one knows exactly when, but it's certainly over 150 years old. Over time, it has remained the same. Only the roof was replaced, with one similar to the old one, also made of straw.
Passers-by are enchanted by this house, and Aunt Iulica agrees to take photos. Sometimes people send her pictures, which she keeps in a box, along with the old family photos.
On the list of historical monuments, the house appears under the name of "Casa Morarului" ("The Miller's House"), after, in a monograph of Răstoci village, an old photograph was found with this house, under which these words were written. Milling was a very common occupation in the area and the village had several water mills connected to the course of the river Someş that passes through the village.
“This house is built on a sloping ground, on a stone foundation, with earth binder. The slope of the land favored the construction of a cellar under the living room, towards the road, with access from the outside, an element less found in the area, which gives a certain monumentality to the construction. From a planimetric point of view, the house corresponds to the first phase of evolution of the local traditional house, having only a living room, a small vestibule and a porch without pillars, on the eastern and southern side. The three windows of the living room, located on its east, south and west sides, were enlarged, according to family tradition, around 1900, by the grandparents of the last owner, Câmpean Iuliana, born in 1925. The walls are made of round wooden beams and covered with earth and chaff, inside and outside”, shows the ethnographer Augustin Goia, in the historical study made in order to classify the building as a historical monument. The specialist points out that the building is also notable for the old and extremely rare interior elements not only in the area, but also in northwestern Transylvania, such as the oven with its vent.
Near the clay house there is another historical monument, the wooden church from Răstoci, unique in the area.
