I have lived in the Ojai Valley for over thirty years, but I've never known if there was actually a lake in this spot. A friend of mine who grew up here said that he can remember from about 1965 when there was a train and an airport in the valley. He says he remembers many frogs and cattails and yes, there was also water in the lake. He says it has never been the same since development of the area. In the gallery is a 1918 picture of the area. If you know more about this pleasant location, please post your knowledge here. There is at least one neighbor who is protective of this spot, so please be respectful (don't litter) and be stealthy.
