The ‘There and Back Again’ series of caches is based on the book ‘The Hobbit or There and Back Again’ by J.R.R. Tolkien. Each cache is named after a character/creature encountered in the book.
The series consists of twenty-five caches and is mainly on footpaths and quiet lanes.
Some paths can be muddy at times and there are a few stiles.
On street parking is available in Avening High Street.
A copy of OS Explorer Map 168 Stroud, Tetbury and Malmesbury may be of benefit.
