This cache is also available on geocaching.hu as GCZVM.

Mini multi with two stages very close to each other. You can make it a park and grab, or you can enjoy what I wanted to show you and forget yourself here for hours.

Zengővárkony

The small village of Zengővárkony at the foot of the Zengő (682 m), 17 km northeast of Pécs, 2 km of Pécsvárad is surprisingly rich in museums, cultural events, and natural beauty. This cache will take you to my two favorite exhibitions.

You do not need to enter either museum in order to find the cache.

Stage 1: Szalma-Kincs-Tár - Straw Treasury - THIS STAGE IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE, DUE TO THE MUSEUM BEING IN THE PROCESS OF RELOCATION

The common base of this unique private collection is the material of the displayed objects: straw. We can see some 600 objects originating from around 25 countries.
Apart from the seeds of the crops (wheat, barley, oat, rye, rice, or triticale), its straw, its hollow stem has also been used, mainly for everyday purposes: laid under animals or humans, covered roofs, or twisted to make rugs or dishes for storing or transporting goods. During the centuries straw's decorative texture has also been discovered. Plaits and ornamental objects were made for the hat industry in England and Switzerland. Straw can be twisted, interlaced, rolled, tied, flattened, plaited in order to create jewelry, toys, decorations, and even pictures.
The exhibition presents the diversity of the usage of straw, sums up all processes used in creating various straw object, shows the tools used for the various techniques. Besides the articles from historical Hungary, there are curiosities for example  from Switzerland, The Netherlands, Great Brittain, Sweden, Lithunia, Russia, Belorussia, China, and Mexico.

An unusual object will reveal the coordinates of the second stage.

Stage 2: Arts on Egg Museum

Eggs symbolizing life, rebirth, and fertility are an integral part of folk traditions surrounding Easter.
Aside from being a long-standing tradition, egg painting has recently emerged as an autonomous art form. The museum showcases a diverse and rich collection of folk art applied to eggs by local folk artists from different regions. The majority of the eggs on display come from Europe, primarily the Carpathian Basin, but the museum also houses pieces from faraway cultures like Israel, China or Indonesia.
In total, 2500 pieces are on display, complemented by the same amount kept in storage. Those currently exhibited come from 55 regions from 19 countries and were made by 160 designers, using over 30 different techniques.
The smallest egg comes from a finch, the largest from an ostrich.
