Geocache Description:

UPDATED: 3/21/21 - It is nice to see a lot of new cachers in the area - welcome to the game! A couple rules that all cachers should know, and I will highlight here:

1) Do not leave food in caches - it attracts animals and is bad for them and the the cache

2) You must sign the paper log in the cache in order to claim the log in the app/on the website. Your log may be deleted from the website if it is not on the paper.

3) If you take something from the cache, you should leave something of equal or greater value, and you should not take parts of the cache itself.

There is no longer a bison tube in the cache storing the log - it was taken...  log should be in a plastic bag.  Cache on!

Orginal Description:

We are lucky in West Lafayette to have a well-developed biking/walking trail system.  This cache can be found at one end of Helen's Way.  Helen's Way honors the memory of Helen Lillich who founded what is now the West Lafayette Tree Friends.  This group cares for trees in several designated areas in the city.  In the winter, trees along this stretch are kept warm with sweaters and the sweaters often have jokes attached.  This cache could be found as a quick park and grab or at one end of your stroll or bike ride.  On nice days, there can be quite a few muggles around - use stealth during those times.  The log can be found inside a bison tube within the larger container.  There's room for small swag and we stocked it with a few items for kids.  Enjoy!
