Cardinia Reservoir Dam was built between 1970 and 1973 following the severe drought that hit Melbourne in the summer of 1967-68. Following the construction of the dam, significant money was also invested in landscaping the surrounds of the reservoir to create BBQ areas, playgrounds and walking tracks. This series of geocaches is designed to highlight this beautiful park for us all to enjoy.
This cache was placed in 2016 by students of the MSC Year 11 VCAL Sport & Rec. It was disabled and archived in 2019, but turns out never removed. We All Need Knickers re-found the cache and have recycled the container and log book to create a new listing. If you have found the old cache in the past, feel free to log this one too, make sure your name is definitely there, and tell us how long ago you found it.
