This is a letterbox cache. The cache is not at the posted coordinates. The directions will lead you to the final container with the log. Do not take the letterbox ink stamp. It is for stamping your personal log and not a trade item. Bring a pen.
Allardale Park is one of the most scenic parks in Medina County. The trails vary in terrain and scenery. There are several geocaches for you to find here.
To find the cache, follow these directions:
- Begin at the posted coordinates. This is the park entrance.
- Proceed to the parking lot and look for a trail marked by leaves on the path.
- Start at the White oak and proceed to Sweetgum, Chestnut and Tulip Tree. Now you should be at a fork. Look for the Hickory and Black walnut to lead you in the correct direction.
- Follow the path past the white box until you reach another fork. Take the path to your right. This path will lead you through one of our favorite places in Allardale.
- Cross over the ravine.
- Once you have crossed, you will find spot with benches on both sides of the path.
- Sit on the left bench and look down to your back right for the cache.
Watch out for muggles approaching from either direction. You can stamp your personal letterbox log if you like. It is optional. Bring a pen as a signature on the cache log is required to claim the find. Please replace the container in the same place where found.
