A milwaukee road line once streached across the state to mitchell and beyond.The last train left Rapid city around 1980.Called the Badlands route.The tracks are gone and the state of South Dakota owns the grade and some day it will be a rail trail.For many years it was a big part of the city.The cache is hidden along the grade where the trains came into the city.
