Number 11 in a series of caches celebrating the classified climbs of the Tour de France's visit to Yorkshire, and the Tour de Yorkshire. All the caches are at the top of climbs either into or out of Wharfedale. They're ideal for visiting by bike but all can be accessed by motorised transport, just remember that by the nature of the location they are close to sometimes busy roads, so please take care when finding.
The Cote de Skyreholme is the odd one out in this series, the asterisk in the title denoting that whilst it was due to be the third categorised climb of Stage 4 of the men's 2020 Tour de Yorkshire, the cancellation of the event due to the Coronavirus pandemic meant it was never actually used. Who knows, hopefully it might be resuscitated for future issues, as it is a lovely climb, steep to start then gradually easing off as you get higher. It's location in one of the most picturesque parts of the Dale's make it well worth attempting, though maybe at a slower rate of knots than the tour professionals.
