Geocache Description:

14 August 2021, 12:00 - 14:00

With apologies to the Fab Four for my title mis-appropriation, it seems far overdue to say hello to many GC comrades again, and hopefully there is much over the last year to which we can soon say goodbye. Come share your caching adventures over the past year (and especially your mis-adventures), plus your plans to come. You will be able to social distance, and signing the log is not required. Wear your masks, gloves, Kevlar, mosquito netting, whatever makes you comfortable.

Note: Not tested for effectiveness against Covid-19

These coordinates will bring you to the amphitheater near the fountains in Greer City Park. In case of inclement weather, we may retreat downhill to the covered area near the playground. If you have done GC85X5Z, you already are familiar with the area. If not, be sure to download the wherigo and complete this relatively rare cache type while here. If you have not done this type before, I will be happy to help.

Note: Also may not be effective

Which brings me to the title of this cache. Alas, I have recently relocated up the road to Charlotte. Close enough for some caching outings and hopefully to attend some events, but perhaps far enough to not adequately maintain my caches. Most are in Greer, there are a couple in Spartanburg. Some, like the aforementioned GC85X5Z, get steady traffic. A few of my puzzles get a bit lonely. Anyone that might be willing to adopt a cache would certainly want to find it first, plus receive some generous clues on any others. Hints somewhat along the lines of the excellent GC1JX1T, The Big Red Puzzle (not mine). I will archive caches as necessary, but hoping to bribe encourage others to keep some going for a bit.

Whether 5 people or 500 people stop by (sorry, this event cannot qualify as a Mega), I will be there for at least two hours, per the Community Event guidelines. The covered area has picnic tables, an adjacent playground, and massage chairs (one of these may be a lie), so the event could shift that way if enough want to take advantage of the facilities. Otherwise, you will find me watching the fountains from the amphitheater, devising puzzle caches to torture delight my new caching neighbors.
