My name is Mat Kim. I have a very interesting story. About 3 years ago I lived in Los Angeles, CA. I loved it there. I had lived there since I was born. Well, at least at first I did. Until the zombies took over. My best friend was Rob Eral. Every day we went to the ice cream shop and then walked over to Spook House. Spook House is the spookiest house in the neighborhood. The windows are shattered, the lights flicker and there are shadows looming. And in its front yard it has a small graveyard instead of having grass like everybody else. It had 7 giant windows in front. The 2 houses next to it were empty. No one wanted a house next to Spook House. Every day Rob and I would walk past it, looking for anything mysterious. One day Rob and I were walking past it when we heard someone's voice, “Matt and Rob, the stupidest kids in class!” We turned around to see the school bully, Milo Sharner, and his gang. The other kids cracked up at his lame joke. “Go away, Milo!” I ordered him. “Geesh, ya don’t have to be so mean.” he said. “Go away!” I ordered again. He replied, “I won’t go away… but you will!” Then he pushed me toward Spook House. I kicked and punched but he didn’t stop pushing. I could see Rob being pushed, too. He shoved me into Spook house. I layed on the floor, my back throbbing. Then, Rob got pushed inside and fell on top of me. “Ow!” I yelled. “You can't leave me in here!” I shouted to Milo. “Oh, don’t worry. I’ll just leave you in here for 1 night. I hope that’s enough!” he told me. Then, he let out a long laugh and shut the door. Rob stood up and helped me up. I could hear my back cracking as I stood up. I checked the door. Locked. “They can’t just leave us in here forever. They’ll be back in a few minutes… Right?” 3 HOURS LATER! “Ugh!” Rob groaned, “This is the 8th time they’ve messed with us this week. Why do they have to pick-” His sentence was cut off by a loud creak coming from the second story. Rob started to shiver. Just then, someone stepped on the top step of the stairs. But it wasn’t just anyone… It was a zombie! “Grrra!” it grunted. Rob and I could move. We watched as the zombie walked down 8 of the stairs. Suddenly, it pounced on Rob! But Rob was quick. So, he moved out of the way just in time. The zombie crashed into the door. And hard enough to bust it open. 1 minute later we were long gone from the house. Everybody was outside. But they didn’t look like normal people… They looked like zombies! Not all of them were zombies though. We saw 2 kids running away. “We’re all gonna DIE!” he shouted, not specifically to anyone. We were 2 houses away from my house, our haven, when we were knocked over by an animal. “Ah!” Rob and I screamed as we fell to the floor. We looked at what had knocked us over. It was an ugly looking poodle. Its skin was green and it had many warts. We had seen human zombies but we had seen 0 zombie dogs. Rod and I stood up. We started to back away slowly when the poodle started to growl. A few more zombies came over. One of them looked exactly like Milo… It was Milo! He had 7 teeth that were yellow crooked. 0 of them looked normal. Then, out of the corner of my eye I saw the zombie poodle bite my ankle. My mind felt as if it were burning up. I fell to the ground. My eyes closed. When I woke up I looked at my arms… They were GREEN! After that I didn't remember anything… Except that it was May,‘20!
