Geocache Description:

This cache is located at the junction of the West Kiewa River and East Kiewa River in the Upper Kiewa Valley of NE Victoria. At the junction, the river becomes the Kiewa River that eventually flows into the Murray River ~12 km below the Hume Weir near Albury.

Access is via the Pebble Beach Walking/Bike Trail (3 km) which starts near the junction of the Bogong High Plains Road (Kiewa Valley Highway) and Embankment Drive in Mount Beauty. The Junction is 600 metres further on from the end of the Trail. An easy walk with no blackberries.

The cache is a plastic air-tight container placed inside a tin container with a lid. The tin is secured with wires to a tree 2 metres above the ground. It needs to be this high as occasionally the river level will rise. The cache contains a logbook and pencil.
