If this geocache is frozen in place, please take picture and message to me. This geocache is being placed in Lynn Woods as a reminder of the pandemic which hit the entire world in the year 2020 which also happened to be the year of the 20th anniversary of geocaching. We are placing it in Lynn Woods as this was the place which helped us keep our sanity by hiking when you really couldn’t do much of anything else. People were quarantined, forced to stay home, 6 foot social distancing and having to wear face masks, not to protect ourselves but to protect the others around us. There were protests to open up each state so people could go back to work. There were shortages of toilet paper, flushable wipes, face masks and meats. You had to wait in line to get into stores as they could only allow a certain number of people entry. Everything was canceled; flights, sports and concerts to name but a few. The worst thing of all was death, too much death. A lot of people were not allowed to claim the bodies of their loved ones to bury. In a lot of cases they couldn’t even say goodbye. At the time of the placement of this geocache we were still awaiting better news. Hopefully by the time it is found things will be better for all.
