Park in the Fern Trail Parking Lot at Clear Creek Metro Park to access this traditional cache. A 1.25-mile hike along the Fern Trail will take you on a wooded hike in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains to a place where salamanders might hide. This cache is not bike or pet friendly. Also, you may want to download coordinates as cell reception is unreliable in the valley.

To participate in the Metro Park GeoTrail go to MetroParks.net to find complete instructions. Download and print the GeoTrail page and complete at least 15 GeoTrail caches. As you find the caches, write the code word on the GeoTrail page. The first 100 teams to fill out their forms online will receive a Metro Parks Geocoin. You will need all 19 code words to complete the puzzle and unlock the coordinates to the Bonus Puzzle Cache.
