A few months back , I had the opportunity to join in a guided walk along the Manutewhau Track ; near Moire Park .
It was really interesting and informative .
I had also walked through here about 12 years ago with the Nordic Walkers .
Always enjoy walks near creeks ..
This river is a tributary of the Henderson Creek . The main ways to accesss the loop track are via the end of Granville Rd (and across the playing fields )....Or Moire Rd ...or from West Harbour Drive then across Lawsons Blue Bridge . ..
I have also cached here in years gone by...but a couple of those caches have since been archived .
It is very peaceful in here ,,,and lots of kids and dogs enjoy the many swimming holes .
There are also toilets here, and a pretty cool looking playground by the Granville Rd Car Park
Room for little toys... Take care near the creek...
