St Barnabas village hall - Heaton

St Barnabas Village hall was built it in 1965 and was erected on the site of the demolished Heaton St Barnabas Primary School.
It is located apposite St Barnabas Church
The Original Whitehead Memorial Hall built in 1924 was situated behind the current building which is now a car park. As well as function rooms, Billiard room & Hall with stage, It boasted a bowling green, playing field & tennis courts
The original Memorial plaque can be viewed at the hall entrance
Heaton St Barnabas Primary School was also re-built & now stands on higher ground further back beyond the car park
The current Village Hall is still a well used venue in the village, with Large function room & well equipped kitchen & still closely connected with School & Church
The cache is not at the published coordinated, but you may need to visit.
