Keeping this one simple: I love geocaching, and I love the Laura Court secret entrance to Rancho San Antonio, which I only know about because another cache led me there. This cache is about 95% of the way from the road to the Chamise Trail junction. After finding the cache, I recommend continuing the last little bit to the top. The total one-way climb is 0.7 miles and 500 feet. If you like, you can continue into Rancho San Antonio from there.
View from the top:
I like to do this climb when I only have an hour to spare and I want to see the beautiful foothills. Or maybe I just want an inspirational place to do some thinking.
There are only a handful of legal parking spaces on Laura Court, and it is in a residential neighborhood, so please follow all posted signs about where and when you can park. I would like to continue to be able to park there. Parking is permitted from 7am to 7pm. At the time of hide, there was PO near the cache, but avoidable. Bring your own pen capable of signing a Rite in the Rain fanbook. Coordinates are the average of three measurements. Please re-hide the cache as you found it so that it stays in place.
Enjoy!
Congratulations to rragan for the FTF.
