Geocache Description:


Patriot Park is a very very popular park. Try to avoid shining your light in the eyes of folks using the park. While testing the cache I was careful to place trees between me and other folks so they wouldn't wonder what on earth I was doing. Remember, the park closes at dusk and reopens at dawn.

HOW TO FIND THIS CACHE:
  • You need a decent flashlight, a headlamp works well as the light will reflect back to your eyes.
  • Park hours are Dawn to Dusk which is defined as 60 minutes before sunrise and 60 minutes after sunset.
  • Begin your hunt at sunset, or within 30 minutes after sunset and you'll have plenty of time to find the final. Do not hunt this cache outside of park hours, the police will chase you out and I'll have to archive the cache.
  • Begin your search at the posted coordinates, standing a few feet west of the fountain.
  • Shine your light looking for the first reflector, try to avoid shining your light at cars and other folks in the park.
  • Walk to the first reflector, stand a few feet to either side and use your flashlight to spot the next reflector. If you don't see the next one, stand to the other side of the reflector and try again.
  • The trail will make a few turns.
  • You've found the final location when you spot a cluster of reflectors.
  • Just search for a typical placement.

P.S. I've been asked "can your night cache be found in the daylight? Why yes it can but it requires a significant amount of searching random places. I've done it myself in the past, it can be fun to brute force a cache. I wish you the best of luck should you try it during the day.
