This is a Woodland walk consisting of 6 themed caches and 1 bonus mystery cache. The walk is set on an approx. 1.5 mile walk around Ashplats Woods.
Most of these caches are family friendly, though some may be better suited to older children due to more challenging terrain.
There is parking available nearby at the Lower East Court car park.
There are 2 micro caches, 1 small cache for swaps and 3 “other”. The bonus is a mystery nano cache at a hidden location - this can be found after collecting the 'bonus number' from each of the other 6 caches.
No special equipment required, but Wellies might be a good idea depending on the time of year!
The Goblins have taken over the swampland and are terrorizlng the wildlife.They are michievious and greedy creatures and have aquired a taste for bird eggs.
The Goblin King, Jareth, has been a particular nuisance, stealing from the other inhabitance of the woods and even trying to take caches. The fairies managed to shrink him down during one of his raids and I chased him back to the swamplands, but being slippery (as goblins are) he was able to escape!
To this day his wereabouts remain unknown...
**The "birdhouse" is actually a broken dormouse house that has been repurposed. The one used for the cache has the entrance blocked off, so make sure to check you've found the right one and aren't going to disturb any unsuspecting critters!
