This adventure lab takes you on a Walk Around Walka.
Walka water works construction began in 1879 and first used in 1887.
It was the sole supply of water until 1923 for the Newcastle area.
It became a power station in 1951 and later decommissioned in 1976.
Today Walka supplies everything from miniature trains to native wildlife, walking trails to Geocaching.
The car park is open daily from 7.00am to 7.00pm during daylight savings 7.00am to 5.00pm during non-daylight savings Parking is available outside the main gate if you need outside of these hours.
